That being said, it also immediately eliminated a tight shoulder that has been nagging me for a few days, requiring periodic doses of NSAIDs. Unless someone has a better, comparably priced, massager out there, I'd rather struggle with this periodically than take drugs or pay for massages. While it won't help with the heavy and awkward, perhaps the solution for someone thin is to use it while wearing a thick fleece or light insulated jacket - in essence, giving your poor ole bones some padding. I can't imagine who could use this on high on their back unless they were VERY well padded!
