Summary: Yes, we are not CRAZY!
Comment: If you are true to yourself, you know that IBS is serious and yes we do not cause this by our own worries of stress or depression. Do you think we want IBS? This book helped me provide more knowledge of the new studies of IBS. This book is a quick and excellent read for IBS folks just learning about the disease. I am glad for Mark's work for if it were not for the folks of Cedar Sinai and their work, my IBS problems would stay with me forever. I've seen over 50 Doctors and only 1 figured out my issue. I would also recommend "tell me what to eat if I have IBS" cowritten by Dr. Christine Frissora. The rest of the doctors who are unaware of Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth should read this as well.

Comment: IF YOU HAVE PAIN BACK PAIN WITH YOUR IBS PLEASE look into fibromyalgia u might have fibro if u do u need to read the book what your doctor may not tell you about fibromyalgia and start the treatment it works!!!!!

Summary: FINALLY RELIEF!
Comment: This book is a must for anyone suffering from IBS. I have been suffering with this disease for 40 plus years. I was fortunate to get an appointment with Dr. Mark Pimental. He ordered the lactulose breath test and I was diagnosed with SIBO. Within 5 days on the antibiotics I was 90 per cent better. A year later I am still under treatment and although I get occassional flare ups, my life is pretty much normal. I can travel, eat out, go to friends without the constant worry of an attacl. Although, the diet can be restrictive it is better than always being sick.
There is help for SIBO sufferers, read this book!

Summary: Must Read! Only IBS Book that discusses SIBO in Detail
Comment: Having suffered from IBS for over 25 Years and having read dozens of other Books on the Topic it was such a pleasure to read Dr. Mark Pimentel's new Book, "A New IBS Solution".
What impressed me the most was that he understands that "IBS" is just a catch-all name that is given when all other "Tests" prove normal. He believes that the "Root Cause" of IBS isn't caused by "Stress" but by an Overgrowth of Bacteria in the Small Intestines( SIBO). This may account for up to 80% of all the people suffering from "IBS"
A New IBS Solution,is without doubt the most comprehensive Book available today that discusses SIBO, how to diagnose it, dietary factors for SIBO and most importantly how to treat it. The name of his Protocol is called, The Cedars-Sinai Medical Protocol. Which is one of the most respected Hospitals in the World!
For anyone who's tired of having "IBS" My advice would be to take a copy of Dr. Pimentel's Book to your Physician and ask him to take a few minutes during his lunch hour to read it!
In 7-10 Days after starting his protocol you may actually start to feel normal again!

Summary: This book changed my life!
Comment: Like the subjects in Dr. Pimentel's book, I can recall the exact date (and even hour!) of the onset of my IBS. It was after a terrible bout of food poisioning that never seemed to end. If you have a similar story, you NEED to read this book. While reading "A New IBS Solution", I found myself saying, "That's ME!" over and over - I related to it more than any other book I've read about the subject. Based on Dr. Pimentel's research, I requested a lactulose breath test from my gastroenterologist. It was literally off the charts - the nurse administering the test said that mine was the highest score (high being negative) that she'd ever seen. I cried when the time came to pay for my course of Xifaxan ($260- more than half a week's salary for me), but it was the best money I've ever spent. At first, I thought, "this isn't helping at all. Everything's the same, if not worse." But then, after I had taken a full course, I noticed something - I could drink a bit of orange juice. A bit of soda. Eat a few raw vegetables. A bit of cheese. All things that would have had me in AGONY before! I still have IBS, and I still have a lot of pain, but I have a lot more "good" days now. About five months have gone by, and I'm noticing my symptoms returning, so I'm saving up for another course of Xifaxan. If I could ever speak with Dr. Pimentel, I would give him a huge hug, and thank him for all he's done for me, and other IBS sufferers.
